Three days in a row just isn’t enough to spend with the Luehofs. Monday Tristan and I drove to Danielle and Jeremy’s to photograph their engagement session! (Danielle is Alicia’s older sister) Their wedding was in September and will be on the blog soon. This day was awesome. Jeremy is both building and designing their first home, so we got to see the house in the works and oh my goodness it is so gorgeous. I just about screamed when I went inside… much like those people do on decorating shows when they see their rooms for the first time! I couldn’t believe how beautiful this house was! All designed by Jeremy! Let me tell you when if I ever need a house built he is the one I will be going to. What was also so wonderful was how excited he was about it. He mentioned something to me about loving architecture as much as I loved photography, and the look on his face let me know that this was a real passion. We used this excitement as an inspiration for our photos, and we began the session in the house. My favourite shot is of Danielle and Jer in the bathtub, purely because they are so genuinely happy about their new home! I was so happy for them. And extremely jealous. In a good way. As usual, this was a really fun session to be apart of. The house is in such a beautiful location, we only had to go a few minutes down the road to the beach, beautiful fields and the railway tracks! It was also just so much fun to be with Danielle and Jeremy alone for the first time. I felt there was a beautiful transition from Alicia’s wedding to Danielle’s, and the engagement session being after Alicia’s wedding really helped. I enjoyed getting to know Danielle and Jer as a couple separately and seeing the house probably helped that big time. They are so lovely together, you can see how they balance eachother out. I probably say this all the time but their love is so apparent it’s really beautiful. I love how they look at eachother, their eyes are just so sparkly! After we were finished Tristan and I headed to my grandma’s cottage for a few days before the next wedding…. Tristan has some photos up on his blog from walking around town that are beautiful.
